Here's Dake's notes of Hebrews 2:14-15...

Hebrews 2:14-15 (KJV)
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage] This refers to the deliverance of all righteous souls from the captivity of Satan and from their prison in the lower parts of the earth. Christ descended first into hell (Ps. 16:10; Acts 2:27), in the lower parts of the earth (Eph. 4:8-10; Mt. 12:40), then captured the righteous souls from Satan, leading them captive to heaven when He ascended on high as referred to in Eph. 4:8-10. This fulfilled Ps. 68:18. Before this, all righteous souls went into hades or sheol, along with the souls of the wicked, but in another compartment with a great gulf between them (Lk. 16:19-31). Now, the souls of the righteous no longer go into the heart of the earth to be held captive against their will. They go immediately to heaven at physical death to await the resurrection of their bodies (2Cor. 5:8; Php. 1:21-24; Heb. 12:23; Rev. 6:9-11). The wicked continue to go to the torment compartment of hades or sheol and will continue to do so until the end of the Millennium. Then death and Hades will deliver up the wicked souls who will be united with their bodies in resurrection to be judged and sent to eternal hell (Rev. 20:11-15).

Chris was death, also known as "sleeping".

Unaware of anthing. Completely death, really death, like Lazarus, his friend was, gone, no where, no any where but at the mercy of God the father.

The father had a decision to make..

To bring his son back alive and accept a world of sin but redeeming sin in the process or clean up the univers of sin and forget his son cuase sin was to big to bear!!!

To forgive sin or not to forgive, that was God's father dilema.

To finally read the universe of sin, once and for all, but loosing his son in the process

OR

bringing his son back alive AND humanity's hope WHILE keeing sin in the world until his second comming.

GOD DID NOT HAD TO BRING HIS SON BACK TO LIFE.

GOD WAS NOT FORCED NOR REQUIRED TO DO SO.

HE DID IT ONLY BECAUSE OF LOVE FOR HIS SON was bigger than his hate for SIN.

Christ did not preach anyone while death. Christ was as death as we will be if we do not repent and accept Christ as the Lord.

1 Peter 3:18-20

He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, 19through whom also he went and preached to the spirits in prison 20who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built.

Bad Interpretation, Joe, we need to use the original Greek translation to understand the correct interpretation. Use YLT version better.

1 PETER 3:18-20

Read on its own, nothing in this pa**age describes a descent into hell, nor is there any indication that the "spirits now in prison" refers to Old Testament believers. First, I would point out that v. 18 describes Jesus’ victory over death, and the proclamation of v. 19 is best understood as a proclamation of His victory, not a gospel presentation. Peter does NOT use the term "preach the gospel" (euangelizein; see 1 Pet 1:12, 25; 4:6) here. Instead, he uses a much more general word for making a proclamation (kerussein). Nothing here indicates that the proclamation has the purpose of saving anyone. It is also problematic to suggest that people in Hades (or hell) have the opportunity to make a decision regarding their salvation. Jesus teaches that there is a fixed chasm between Hades and heaven preventing any further chance of salvation after death (Luke 16:26—and note that Abraham is described as being on the "saved" side of the chasm, though this would precede Jesus’ "descent into hell" to preach to him).

Christ died in the tomb, he was not alive.

People do not want to admit that they will certainly die.

The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die!"

and we still believe that lie !!!

Eph. 4
[8] Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, HE LED CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE, and gave gifts unto men.

[9] (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

[10] He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Matthew 27

[52] And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

[53] And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Basing your bible theology or interpretations on human translation is a terrible waste of soul.

Use the original Greek and you will find the truth.
