Hi Steve,

Thanks for your input.

If you hover your cursor over the top left link, there will be a drop down box and in it is our Statement of Beliefs.  It's a fairly prominent link.  Do you think I should make it more so?

I'm glad you like the Bible on MP3.  That's one of the more popular parts of our site.

Sincerely,

Jason

Vincent,

As I said, I'm not discussing that with you.  However, since you are confused, I suggest you PM/email people you know to help you find the answer, if you're deeply interested.  I'm not going to derail this topic.

Sincerely,

Jason

Jason,

It is not a prominent link. The most prominent things on the front page are adverts. If you are going to have these, then have them in a way that does not make them more prominent than the good stuff, and don't put them on the front page. that should be a page that draws people in rather than turning them away.

Next, does the site mislead? You state:

Jesus Christ Saves Ministries is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization.  Since we began in 1997,  JCSM has reached over 3 million people with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ!  The good news has reached people from all walks of life in over face=Arial 100 different countries.

Do you actually mean that your site has had 3 million hits in that time, because that is not the same thing. Most people coming to the site through a search engine will come to the front page and then leave because it is not what they are looking for. This does not equate with reaching people with the gospel.

Next, if you are going to say things on the site such as:

However, like most reputable ministers, I have voluntarily given myself a salary cap.  I'm not trying to get rich, I only want to serve the Lord.  Pay raises must be approved by JCSM's Board of Directors.

Be honest about it. What is your salary cap, have you reached it? Who are the directors? You don't list any as far as I can see, do you really mean yourself and your wife, or are others involved?

It is not a prominent link.

:: We'll have to agree to disagree.  The fact is that it's the first link in the upper left drop down box.  We certainly aren't trying to hide what we believe.

:: I don't mislead people by using terms like "hits".  Hits is a calculation of the number of graphics and page elements times the page views.

:: I'm not sure if most people come to the site through the main page.  That is not the case with my site.  Are you a webmaster?  Please tell me about your experience with web sites.

:: Thanks for your input on the salary and board members.  I will consider it.  Are you involved with non-profit organizations?  Please let me know your experience with them and their operations.

:: How will that information edify people who are looking to learn about Jesus and the Bible?  I don't see how it would be very relevant or helpful for the vast majority of people.

God bless,

Jason

P.S.  I see you say you're from the UK.  I guess you don't know that in order to be a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization in the U.S., you need to have a board and the board needs to have more non-family members than family members.

Hope this helps.

Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies (Ph.D.) - In progress and expected in May, 2005

I wasn't really surprised to find that Louisiana Baptist University is ..well I think our gentle readers can figure it out for themselves. On its web site, when discussing the strengths of its location, it lists "walking distance from a Wallmart"

Jason, you really aren't going to make it as a con artist, there is just too much good competition.

Repent.

You have revealed nothing that I should repent from and I'm not trying to con anyone.  Your accusations are absurd.

LBU is a fantasic university.  Here are some of the alumni: http://jcsm.org/LBU/LBUAlumni.htm .  Here are some more: http://lbu.edu/macfeaturedalumni.html .  I've been blessed by LBU and LBU has blessed countless others.

Sincerely,

Jason

jason,

welcome to bible master.  I mean that.  I am glad you came and offered your cite to further our education.  I cannot apologize for anyone, but I dont feel right about your reception.  I mean, since when do we on this cite attack credentials?  I have an MA in counseling, does anyone wish to attack that?  I received it at UNF ... which I might add, is only a very short bus ride from several Wal-Marts.  what does this have to do with learning and teaching about Christ?

I took the time and checked you out a little bit.  I enjoyed listening to some of your debates (especially the creation evolution one).  It takes a lot of guts to try and reach such a crowd.  Again, I appreciate your pointing out another useful reference where folks who want to learn can go and get access to helpful tools.

Hi beanero,

Thanks for your kind welcome.

I'm glad you enjoyed my debates.  By the grace of God, I've improved since my first recorded debate with Reggie Finley.  I prefer online, text debates and public ones opposed to phone debates.  I tend to relax too much on the phone.  In case anyone is interested, here is a direct link to my debates: http://debates.jcsm.org .

Are you a licensed counselor?  Or do you do Christian counseling?

Last week, I graduated from LBU and I flew to Shreveport, Louisiana for graduation week.  It was quite an event.  And my hotel was right in between the university and the Walmart and the proximity made shopping for food and useful stuff quite convenient.

God bless,

Jason
